Join local nature photographer Kevin Kaltenbaugh for a walk through the woods. You’ll learn how to capture that perfect shot through the eye of the lens. Instruction, hike and breakfast provided. Breakfast starts at 8am with choice of Cinnamon French Toast with Maple Syrup and Sausage OR Steak and Eggs with Roasted Potatoes and Whole Grain Toast, and Fruit and Pastry Buffet. Please bring own camera and appropriate gear. Cost is $35 per person (cost includes tax and gratuity). Soak in the harvest season with an autumn five-course tasting for two at Gateway Lodge. You’ll be introduced to fabulous award-winning wines during the event while indulging in delicious fine cuisine. Live entertainment provided. Cost is $99 per couple. Cook Forest French and Indian War Encampment  |  2nd weekend in June
Join us for a series of living history events depicting life during the French & Indian War. Highlights of this full two-day encampment include woodland natives, cannon and musket firing, cooking, primitive skills, 18th century surgical techniques, clothing, demonstrations, flintknapping, blacksmithing, pottery, woodworking, sheep shearing, sutler camp, live tactical engagements, renown living historians and French & Indian War Era artists.
