Kate Romane has quietly established herself as a notable chef in Pittsburgh’s burgeoning restaurant landscape. With roots in rustic Italian cooking and a passion for supporting a local economy, Kate’s mantra is simple…create experiences around food that are honest, inclusive and memorable. Kate’s first restaurant, highland park’s e2 was known for it’s welcoming atmosphere, hospitality and iconic comfort food. She hopes to continue to help grow the Pittsburgh food scene through dinners and discussions that will work towards a greater food economy for all. In Kate’s latest endeavor, Black Radish Kitchen, she’s created a collaborative space for dinners, education and home to her full service catering operation, Kate Romane Productions.
