Checking into Your Room or Cabin
Before arrival, your invoice will be processed for the remaining balance using the credit card on file. To retrieve a key or cabin access code, please wear a mask and come to the reception area accessed from the front porch entrance of the main lodge. 
Check-in for Rooms and Suites is from 4pm to 8pm.  Check-in for Cabins is from 3pm–8pm. Please call Guest Services at (814) 744-8017 on the day of your arrival to make other arrangements for a later check-in.

Can I Arrive Earlier or Stay Later?
Due to the additional cleaning procedures, we are unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-out needs. Please adhere to a departure by noon for Room stays and by 10:30am for Cabin stays to give our Housekeeping team adequate time to clean accommodations. We appreciate your cooperation.

How do I apply a Gift Certificate to my Reservation?
Call us before your arrival date with your gift certificate number. We will apply your gift certificate at this time. Also bring in your gift certificate to give to our Front Desk associate at check-in. If the gift certificate is partially redeemed after processing, the gift certificate will be returned to you.

Can I pay the remaining balance in cash?
Cash is not accepted as a form of payment at this time. Please contact Guest Services at (814) 744-8017  before your arrival date to make necessary adjustments to your credit card information before we process the payment on your arrival date.

Breakfast & Hot Beverage Service for Room Stays
Our kitchen delivers breakfast baskets to rooms between 9–9:30am each morning. Coffee and tea service is provided inside each room. At check-in, you will make your breakfast selections. Please indicate any dietary needs at this time.

Massages at the Woods Spa
Single massage services available for reservation. Please note, that a face mask covering your nose and mouth will be required throughout your service for safety.

 

SERVICE CHANGES FOR SAFETY

No Morning & Afternoon Tea Service in the Great Room 
This service is replaced with a beverage station and cookies upon arrival in each guest room. 

No Welcome Reception in the Great Room on Friday
Friday’s welcome wine reception is canceled at this time.

A Change in Housekeeping Processes
Housekeeping will not enter your room to remove trash and redo bedding.  A large trash receptacle is provided inside each room. A recyclables receptacle is available near the Suite parking lot. Linen requests can be made by calling the Reception Desk between 10am–6pm or by emailing info@gatewaylodge.com. New towels will be left inside a plastic bag outside of your door upon your request to replenish.

Common Areas of Lodge are Reserved for Room Guests
The Great Room and Billiards Room are exclusively reserved for room guests. Room guests are required to adhere to social distancing and not exceed state mandates of up to 10 guests in the Great Room at one time. Sanitation stations are provided in common spaces for guests’ use.

RATES, DINNER SERVICE CHARGES, AND TAX
Room Rates are for an occupancy of one to two guests per night and include breakfast delivery.  Cabin rates are based on the occupancy stated per cabin. An automatic service charge is applied to all price-fixed dinners. State and Hotel taxes, dinner service charges, bar charges, add-on packages, and spa services are additional costs to room rates.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Check-in for rooms is from 4pm–9pm (later check-ins may be arranged in advance) with a check-out by 12pm. Check-in for cabins are from 3pm–9pm, and check-out is by 10:30am.

RESERVATION & CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations must be secured with a 50% deposit of total stay. For cancellations or date change requests made less than 14 days from arrival date, total deposit amount is forfeited.  If cancellation is 14 days or more from arrival date, a $35 cancellation fee is applied. Guests who cancel or fail to show on arrival date are responsible for the entire reserved stay. Guests may move a reservation only once with at least a 14-day notice prior to arrival date. The second time a reservation date is changed will result in forfeiture of initial deposit.

PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS
Payments may be made by Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We do not accept checks as payment. If a gift certificate is used as a deposit, certificate would be forfeited upon cancellation of reservation regardless of two-week notification. Certificate may only be used if value is equal to or more than the cost of deposit.

AGE REQUIREMENTS
The Lodge is an adult facility. If accompanied by an adult, guests 12 and older are permitted to stay. Children of all ages are welcome in our cabins. Guests must be 18 or older to make a reservation.

NON-SMOKING
Gateway Lodge maintains a strict non-smoking environment. We do not allow any form of smoking or candle burning in any of our accommodations or on outside balconies and porches. If smoking is evident you may be charged a $100-$200 Housekeeping fee depending on damages.

PET-FREE FACILITY
Gateway Lodge does not permit pets in Lodge, Cabins, or on property grounds. Need a pet sitter? Visit Rover. Whether you need in-home dog boarding, pet sitting, dog walking, or day care, Rover connects pet parents with dog people who’ll treat their pets like family. Another great option is Rocky Acres Kennel in Clarion, Pennsylvania…only a 20 minute drive from Gateway Lodge. You can reach them at (814) 227-2575.

ALCOHOL RESTRICTIONS FOR COMMON AREAS
All common areas are licensed by the PA Liquor Control Board.  We have a full liquor license and wine list and are happy to provide any alcoholic beverage needs you may have. Our liquor license requires that any alcohol consumed in the public areas of the inn, or in the restaurant must be purchased from Gateway Lodge. A violation to this rule, will receive first a warning, and then second a $100 fine for the violation to be paid upon check-out. Any conference or group retreat will forfeit $500 of their deposit upon violation of this policy. Legal action may be taken if situation continues.

OUTSIDE FOOD IN RESTAURANT NOT PERMITTED
We discourage outside food to be brought into our restaurant. If it’s a special circumstance, please contact our Event Manager by calling 814-744-8017, extension 505.

LIABILITY
Gateway Lodge reserves the right to charge for any damage done to the property. Damage to linens or towels resulting from use of body oils, make-up, shoe polish, etc. will result in charge for cleaning, repair, or replacement of fixtures, linens or towels. Loud, lewd, or vulgar behavior is not permitted. Gateway Lodge reserves the right to cancel any function or reservation if management determines that there has been a misrepresentation in the booking.

Patrons are fully responsible for any injury to any and all guests attending except those caused by the negligence of the Gateway Lodge. The hotel cannot assume responsibility for personal property and equipment brought on the premises as well as equipment, materials or personal property left in the Lodge prior to, during, or following any function.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY
Gateway Lodge is wheelchair accessible. We have two suites (Suite 104 and 108) that can accommodate those with disabilities. Please note that these guest suites are held for use by individuals with disabilities until all other guest rooms of that type have been rented and the accessible room requested is the only remaining room of that type. Please make your specific needs known prior to arriving so we can serve you best. We have a wheelchair accessible ramp that is in close proximity to Suites 104 and 108 and is located in our suite parking lot area.
