Hygge in the Wilds Suite Package
Gateway Lodge opens this January for weekend stays, a change-up from an annual tradition since 2021 of closing the main Lodge for the first three weeks of the new year. To launch January’s reopening, we introduce an exclusive “Hygge in the Wilds” weekend getaway package, including our delectable, scratch-made, three-course “Taste of the Wilds” dining experience on Saturday evening, breakfast delivery to your door each morning, and the opportunity to try out new room services debuting for our guests in the new year!
Add on Coffee Delivery Service with Breakfast
One of those new services is an opportunity to add a thermos of Gateway’s “Cabin Retreat” coffee to your morning breakfast, which includes two keepsake Gateway mugs. After breakfast, guests will leave their thermos outside their door with their breakfast basket to be refilled for the following morning of their stay and delivered again with breakfast.
Chocolate Truffles, Artisan Cheese Boards & Wine!
You can also include additional delicious add-ons, like locally-made decadent chocolate truffles or our artisan cheese board with fruit, jams, gourmet crackers, and Marcona almonds paired with a hand-selected wine from our collection.
Jazz, Soul, & Rock Vibes Every Saturday
Enjoy live music every Saturday, 6—8 pm, as part of the “Hygge in the Wilds” weekend package. We welcome Iris Callahan, a smooth and soulful vocalist, on the first Saturday of the month. For the following two Saturdays, we introduce a new musician to Gateway Lodge, a talented Jazz pianist, Eric Krouse. We round the month with Garrett Rowan, a talented guitarist and rock vocalist, performing on the final Saturday of January. Pizza & Puzzle Nights Every Friday in Restaurant
Friday brings “Pizza & Puzzles” night at the Lodge’s restaurant, featuring stone-baked pizzas, craft beers, and wines from 4:30—8 pm. Order pizza ahead of time for pick-up or walk-in. Complimentary puzzles will be available in the restaurant for a casual evening of unwinding from a busy work week.

Hygge (hyoo-guh), a Denmark-derived word, means a feeling of coziness or contentment. Gateway Lodge exudes hygge with in-room fireside jetted tubs and intimate dining around a fireplace in our log-cabin dining room. Outside the Lodge, embrace the serene snow-covered trails amid hemlock and pine, enjoying the still ambiance under snow-laden branches.
